Heat & Frost insulators Local #19 Energy Audit Appraisal Program
In 2005 Heat & Frost Insulators Local #19 began their Energy Audit Program. The EAA Program is designed to provide a comprehensive Audit of any facility's mechanical systems.
HOW DOES AN APPRAISAL WORK?
The appraisal starts with a visual inspection, analysis and interviews with facility professionals to inspect the existing insulation and the condition of the insulation within the facility. The thermal performance of insulated piping and associated systems will be compared with computer analysis of identical systems with a variety of materials and material thicknesses to determine the optimal solution for the system. Based on the final calculations, the appraiser will provide a savings presentation that will include an actual Btu/dollars/emissions spreadsheet. With this information, the client can see the profit/loss margin, and how to best reduce gas emissions and also ways to conserve energy dollars.
The actual Appraisal process includes five steps.
They are as follows:
- Meet with the Facility/Energy Manager
- Walk-Through the Facility
- Customized software Calculations data
- Final Report
- Presentation of Final Report
